Happy Easter!!!

This past week we have spent a lot of time enjoying the Phoenix weather. We have been hiking, biking, and going for walks. We went up Camelback Mountain and the only thing I could say was, "Whoa!"

I also turned 18 months and went to meet my new pediatrician. Dr. Horlick was really nice and then had really cool pictures all over the walls. Here are my stats:

weight: 22.4 lbs.

height: 31.5 inches

Dr. Horlick said that it was super cool that I can walk backwards and jump on my own!

Easter was a great day; Mommy and Daddy helped out in my class at church, I got to decorate eggs, and hung out at Caeden's grandparents house. Needless to say it was an egg-citing day!

I am strutting my stuff on the La Esplanada catwalk!

Happy Easter!!!

Or-see

The other day we all went for a morning jog and made a stop at our nearby barnyard to see the or-sees. There is a brown or-see and a white or-see. I very cautiously pet the or-see on his nose. He liked it and so did I.
Ciao!

More Pool Fun

Since my last post, I have been spending lots of time swimming. The weather has been very pleasant and the pool has been comfortably heated. My courage has increased and I am now jumping of the edge!
I discovered the moon this week, learned some anatomy, and got to play with bubbles.

Out on a Date and Other Stuff

Daddy and I went on a date last Thursday. He took me to a baseball game at Arizona State University. He told me they were ranked #1 in the country. They were playing University of Michigan, ranked #8. Well, ASU took it to them, but we had fun. One of the players of U of M is from Daddy's home town. Pretty cool!

Over the weekend Mommy and Daddy took me to Scottsdale to check out a spring training game. We saw the San Francisco Giants host the Oakland A's. The A's whooped up big time! It was a beautiful day.

The weekend also proved to be a milestone in that I learned to say "Awesome!" We were in the pool and I said it. I also started kicking in the pool; like swimming kicking! Daddy says I am like Matt Biondi!

One last tidbit for you: I like asparagus, portobello mushrooms, buffalo, and spinach risotto. That's no lie.

Be sure to check out my videos. Happy spring and don't forget to change your clocks this weekend (unless you live in Arizona, we are kind of stubborn).

A Really Big Beach

So Phoenix doesn't have "beaches" persay. Daddy says it's a big beach sort of, but we can pretend there is water near. I guess nearness is relative. So I'll just enjoy the beach, Phoenix.
Goodbye!

Numbers

This past week has been all about numbers. Today I turned 17-months and I now can count to 7. Really! Mommy or Daddy says "1!" Then I say "2!" They say "2!" and I say "3!" They say "3!" and I say "4!" and so on. It's kind of a funny way to count, but I am doing it! We'll get it on video for proof.

3 of us riding an alligator. 1 happy girl and her baby doll.
1 little girl in the corner drinking a smoothie.
2 happy guests and 1 crazy little me!I was so happy to have Grandpa Chuck and Grandma Dede visit. We had lots of fun! Thank you for coming!

Springing

It's happening. Spring is coming. I went swimming last weekend. Woo hoo! It was lots of fun and just like riding a bike. I loved it!

I know that some of you are suffering brutal winter, but I hope you try to enjoy your weather, too. Daddy was reminded earlier this week about the blizzard of 1978...It was cold, windy, and snowed like there was no tomorrow (http://www.southbendtribune.com/assets/slideshow/blizzard/index.html). But I am happy because that's when Grandpa Steve and Grandma Dede made my daddy. The moral: there is always a silver lining to every snowstorm!
